Prof. Ochuodho is a seasoned academic and researcher in Seed Science and Plant Pathology with over four decades of experience. He holds a PhD in Plant Science (University of KwaZulu Natal), MSc and BSc in Agriculture (University of Nairobi), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Seed Pathology (Denmark).His career began at the Ministry of Agriculture in 1981, where he rose to Acting Director of the National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS), leading innovations in seed certification and research. He joined Moi University in 1997 and later the University of Eldoret, where he served as Dean, School of Agriculture and Biotechnology.He has supervised over 60 postgraduate students, published 70+ journal articles, and led major research collaborations such as RUFORUM CARP and SCIFSA, mobilizing over €3 million in funding. Currently, he directs the Resource Mobilization and Strategic Initiatives office, leads outreach at the University’s Innovation Center, and coordinates the ENABLE Youth Kenya Project and TAGDev 2.0 Program.
