Dr. Kenneth Odhiambo is an adept scholar and tropical forest biology and silviculture expert at the University of Eldoret, with a strong background in climate-smart agriculture, and terrestrial ecosystems management. He leads ASEC Work Package 5 under the TAGDev 2.0 initiative, focusing on the greening landscape for dairy value chain ecosystem services. The work package destination is to create 600 sustainable jobs for young men and women, persons abled differently and out of school youth (OSY) through forest and landscape restoration for dairy value chain ecosystem services.
Dr. Odhiambo’s work emphasizes the integration of environmental sustainability into agricultural development, promoting resilient food systems and regenerative practices that support both productivity and ecological balance. He also coordinates C-LaSAIR project: Climate-Smart Labour-Saving Agrotechnologies for Increased Resilience of Women in Dryland Kenya. He brings on board a wealth of skills and competencies in ASEC Dairy value chain green transition at the landscape level.
