University of Eldoret Launches First TAGDev 2.0 Business Incubator Cohort 1

The University of Eldoret (UoE), through its flagship TAGDev 2.0 Program, has unveiled the first Business Incubator Cohort, a bold step toward empowering the next generation of agripreneurs in Kenya.

This unique opportunity targets UoE students, alumni, and out-of-school youth from the North Rift Economic Bloc (NOREB) and Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) counties, with the objective of transforming innovative agribusiness ideas into sustainable enterprises.

In a region where agriculture drives livelihoods, the UoE Business Incubator is designed to be a game-changer for youth-led agribusiness in Kenya. It focuses on creating an enabling environment where innovation meets entrepreneurship, helping young people transition from ideas to impactful agribusiness ventures.

The initiative directly supports TAGDev 2.0’s mission to “Transform African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development.” By linking academia with practical entrepreneurship, the incubator bridges the gap between education, innovation, and community impact.

UoE Alumni

Out-of-school youth engaged in agribusiness

Special consideration is given to young women, differently abled youth, refugees, and displaced youth ensuring inclusivity in agribusiness incubation in Kenya.
