The Future of Agriculture is in the Sky: Free Drone Technology Training at the University of Eldoret

The University of Eldoret, through TAGDev 2.0 Programme, is offering a free training course in Drone Technology for Smart Farming and Environmental Monitoring in partnership with Customized Aviation Limited. The programme is designed to equip students, farmers, researchers, videographers and professionals with practical 21st-century digital and agricultural skills that are transforming modern agriculture.

This hands-on training introduces participants to the growing role of drone technology in precision agriculture, climate monitoring, and data-driven farm management, positioning learners at the forefront of innovation in the agri-food sector.

As agriculture increasingly integrates technology, drones are becoming essential tools for improving productivity, reducing costs, and supporting sustainable environmental management. This 6 weeks course provides practical exposure to drone applications and data use in real agricultural and environmental contexts.

Participants will gain foundational and applied skills in operating drones and interpreting aerial data for decision-making.
