Mercy Chirchir’s journey through TAGDev 2.0 is a powerful reminder that leadership is not defined by circumstance,it is built through courage, commitment and the willingness to serve others.
A TAGDev 2.0 scholar, a Person with Disability (PWD), and now the inaugural Regional Chairperson representing TAGDev scholars across 15 universities across Africa. Mercy is stepping into a leadership role that gives scholars a stronger voice in shaping their shared experience.
Her story goes beyond academic achievement. It speaks to inclusion, representation, resilience and leadership, values at the heart of building an empowered generation of African youth.
From receiving a scholarship opportunity to becoming a voice for fellow scholars across the region, Mercy is showing what it means to learn, lead and create space for others to thrive.
